How Our Network Works
Who You Talk To
You talk to a local provider. Not a Sweartelevision Remodeling crew. Sweartelevision Remodeling does not do remodeling work.
Providers in the network are independent businesses. Each one runs its own jobs, sets its own prices and writes its own contracts. We make the first connection. They take it from there.
What Happens on the Call
The call is simple. Expect these steps:
- You describe your project
- The provider asks about your home and goals
- You talk about rough scope and timing
- You set up a visit to measure and look
- A written quote follows
Provider availability varies. Request a callback to check who can take your project.
It helps to have a few things ready before you talk. Think about what you want changed and what bugs you most about the room today. Have a rough budget in mind, even if it is a wide range. Know roughly when you would like the work to happen. None of this has to be perfect. A good provider will help you sort out the rest.
What to Ask a Provider
First-timer? Use this list. Ask before you start.
- Are you licensed and insured here? Can I see proof?
- What is included in the quote? What is not?
- Who does the work, you or subcontractors?
- How long will the job take? What could slow it?
- How do payments work?
- What happens if you find a surprise behind a wall?
- Who handles permits?
- Can you share a few past projects like mine?
Write down the answers. Compare them between providers.
You Are in Control
You do not have to hire anyone. You can say no. You can ask for more than one quote. That is smart.
Take your time with the contract. Read each line. Ask what a term means if it is unclear. Do not feel rushed. A solid provider will answer plainly.
Costs depend on size, materials and what is behind your walls. Get a written quote before you agree to anything.
After the First Conversation
Don't worry if you feel unsure after your first talk. That is normal. Take a day or two to think. Look over your notes. Check that the scope matches what you pictured.
If something felt vague, go back and ask again. Clear answers now can save you stress later. If a provider cannot explain the plan in simple words, you can move on to another one.
